What Is Cancer?

Definition of Cancer:

The disease cause by an uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in a part of the body; abnormal cells divide uncontrollably and destroy body tissue

Cancer is a disease in which the cells of our body grow and

divide at swift rates and destroy the living and existing body

tissue inside of us. There are many different types and forms

of cancer. Cancer can grow anywhere from our cerebellum in

the brain to the tibia bone in our calves. Cancer has two forms:

genetic and non-genetic. Only a small percentage of cancers

are inherited genetically. These cancers are caused by a defect

in the genes such as genes BRAC1 or BRAC2. There are also

certain cancers that get triggered because of certain genes that

we are born with such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer,

colorectal cancer and prostate cancer.
